WELCOME TO WOMEN IN POST
Women in Post was created to provide leadership and visibility opportunities for women working in post-production at all levels, in motion pictures, television, commercials and other media. It is a community for women to network, learn and share information and ideas in a friendly, welcoming environment.
Young Entertainment Professionals Program
- The HPA continues its commitment to the development of the next generation of professionals with the launch of Young Entertainment Professionals Program(YEP) sponsored by HPA Women in Post Committee. YEP was created to encourage worthy individuals to follow a career in the media content industry and is but one part of a multi-tiered mentorship strategy of the HPA. The goal of YEP is to attract and mentor individuals in the workforce between the ages of 21 and 29 by introducing them to working professionals, connecting them with events and resources that will further their career, and encouraging them to be active in the HPA and SMPTE. The Young Entertainment Professionals Program is open to anyone interested to expand their knowledge and build their media and entertainment career.
- The inaugural mentoring event will take place at the SMPTE Annual Technical Conference on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at the Loews Hollywood Hotel at the Hollywood and Highlands complex in the heart of Hollywood.
- Additionally, the newly established HPA Emerging Leader Recognition is a further honor that may be available to YEPs. One or more with notable industry accomplishments will be selected by HPA’s Board of Directors to receive recognition at the 2016 HPA Awards as an HPA Emerging Leader. No separate application is required, the HPA Emerging Leader Recognition is determined by the HPA Board of Directors from the YEP applications. Recipients will be notified by November 4, 2016.
