Sara Duran-Singer is a 25 year post production veteran. She began her career as a post supervisor on the Disney Afternoon cartoon series at Disney TV Animation before moving over to run the post production and editorial departments at Disney Feature Animation in 1991.
While at Disney Animation, Sara was post executive on such Disney animated classics as “Aladdin”, “The Lion King”, “The Nightmare Before Christmas” and “Toy Story”. Under her direction, the editorial department moved away from film based editing to a fully digital workflow from story sketch through final film out. She also grew the department to support 8 films in various stages of production and post production, spread across 4 different studios
and two countries. In 2004, Sara moved over to Studio Post Production and
Operations to help define and implement studio wide asset security procedures, end to end project planning and final archive and deliverables.
During her 9 years at Studio Post and Operations, Sara managed the following teams, Feature mastering, Post Planning, TV editorial and Repurposing, and Feature Library and Restoration. She supervised the high definition restoration of such key titles as Bambi and Sleeping Beauty. Recently, Sara took on the role of Chief Executive Officer at the renown sound post company, Todd AO/Soundelux, leading a team of over 400 sound post people, across 7 post businesses.
She is a graduate of UCLA and has been an active participant and presenter at past Hollywood Post Association conferences. Sara is married to Andy Singer, a commercial director/ producer and has 6 year old twins, Gemma and Ilan.
