Television Engineering Technician
The selected candidate will maintain studios, master control, and assist with repair and preventative maintenance of all other equipment in the broadcast facility. Must be able to independently perform tasks as assigned. Must be self motivated, precise, and be willing to work various shifts. Baseline educational requirements include an Associates Degree in electronic technology or technical school. An SBE certification in television is preferred but not required. This individual must be familiar with all broadcast related FCC rules and regulations. AM/FM Radio experience is a plus. Proficiency with the use of Microsoft Office applications very important.
Interested candidates must have 3 years broadcast television maintenance experience or comparable work experience and a thorough knowledge and understanding of the electronics of SDTV and HDTV television formats. A solid working knowledge of the maintenance and operations of broadcast equipment such as: digital video, microwave, satellite systems, broadcast distribution and interconnect systems that include: fiber, telephone, LAN, WAN, serial data, and remote control telemetry. Good documentation skills a must. The selected candidate must have or obtain a valid California drivers license and a good driving record.
