Ratnakar Lavu

Ratnakar is the head of technology at Redbox. He oversees technology innovation and implementation of both hardware and software services. He is responsible for technology strategy and delivery roadmap for Kiosk software, support systems, and business intelligence. He currently leads hardware engineering, software engineering, operations, product management and program management teams.

Prior to that, he was the head of technology at Macys.com, and Bloomingdales.com. He was responsible for implementing website features, building mobile and social applications. He was also responsible for scaling the websites, and systems reporting sys to support the business growth.

Received his Masters Degree from Wright State University in Computer Science and Eng.

Born in India, grew up most of his life in Africa. He loves to travel, photography, tennis, and party.
